#Budget2024 Highlights so far:
#1 📜 | Skilling and Job Creation Incentives for First-Time Employees: FM Sitharaman
1. First-time workers will receive a one-time benefit of up to ₹15,000 in three installments, targeting those with a salary of ₹1 lakh per month. This initiative aims to support 2.1 lakh youths.
2. Manufacturing Job Creation Employers in the manufacturing sector will get up to ₹3,000 monthly for two years to cover EPFO contributions for new hires. This scheme aims to benefit 30 lakh youths and create an additional 50 lakh jobs across all sectors.
#2 📜 | Boosting Women's Workforce Participation: FM Sitharaman
-Increasing women's participation in the workforce will be a priority. This will be facilitated by setting up hostels and creating partnerships to organize women-specific skilling programs.
#3 📜 | ₹15,000 Crore for Andhra’s Pollavaram Project: FM Sitharaman
-The government is committed to financing and completing the Pollavaram irrigation project, considered the lifeline for Andhra Pradesh and its farmers. Additional allocations will be provided this year to support capital investment for economic growth. Union Budget to facilitate 15,000 crore for Andhra with additional amounts in future years.
#4 📜 | ₹26,000 Crore for Bihar Highways and New Infra: FM Sitharaman
-Union Budget announces new airports, medical facilities and sports infra for Bihar; out of which, ₹26,000 crore will be allocated to Bihar's highways.
#5 📜 | ₹5,000 Internship Allowance and ₹6,000 Assistance: FM Sitharaman
-Internships in 500 top companies to be encouraged. Internship allowance of ₹5000 and one-time assistance of ₹6,000 to be provided under the internship scheme.
